So after reading nineteen books last month, I decided not to pack my TBR for this month for a couple of reasons. Mostly because I have some pre-orders I’m waiting for, and I have a bunch of books on my Kindle to read and I don’t usually put those on my TBR because I can’t read them as consistently (eye pain and the fact that I share my iPad with the kid and husband). So my list is looking a little lighter than usual, but I’m sure I will still read a crap ton of books because that is how I roll. Here’s what I’ll be reading this month:
Heroine’s Journey by Sarah Kuhn: This is book three in the series and I am super excited to see what comes next.
Caressed by Ice by Nalini Singh: I really enjoyed the first book in the PsyChangeling series and I’m interested to see where it goes.
My Sister the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite: I mean, if that title doesn’t speak to you, we probably can’t be friends.
Take a Hint Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert: I have been anxiously awaiting this book as Talia is a goddess and I literally can’t wait to dive in.
The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon: Give me all the rom coms right now, folks.
Let’s Talk About Love by Claire Kann: I don’t always veer toward contemporary YA but this one sounded good so I’m going for it.
Good Talk by Mira Jacobs: This is one of my anti-racist reads for this month and it looks super interesting.
The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin: Not going to lie, I’m intimidated by “real” fantasy (aka not romance or YA, and yes those quotes are heavily sarcastic), but I figure if I’m going to brave it, I might as well go to one of the best in the biz.
A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow: I’ve heard nothing but good things about this one.
The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander: Anti-racist book number two. I think this one is going to take me awhile just because it is long and packed full of info, but it’s important so I’m making the time.
Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles: This was last month’s Owl Crate book and I am obsessed with this cover.
Incendiary by Zoraida Cordova: This was the previous month’s Owl Crate and it’s another one that’s been super hyped so I’m excited for it.
Becoming by Michelle Obama: I’ve had this on my to buy list forever and finally took the plunge during #BlackOutBestSeller week and I’m stoked AF for it.
Lots of good books to read this month, now if anyone wants to come babysit my kid so I can have some quiet time, that would be great. What are you looking forward to reading this month?
