I may or may not have originally titled this post TBR: June 2020. Because what is time. No one knows! I went a little light on the stack this month since I have a lot of writing stuff to accomplish, but I am overall super stoked for all of these reads.
Devil of Downtown by Joanna Shupe: If you still aren’t aware of my intense love for Gilded Age romance, you must be new around here (welcome!). I can’t wait to see how this series ends!
Daring and the Duke by Sarah MacLean: Sarah is one of the masters of the genre and this series of hers is one of my all-time favorite historical series. Looking forward to the grovel!
Recipe for Persuasion by Sonali Dev: I’m actually not a huge Austen fan (gasp!), but I loved Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors so this one should be good.
Something to Talk About by Meryl Wilsner: Meryl is a fellow Pitch Wars alum and therefore I will be reading their book!
Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson: I did already see (and love) the movie based on this book, but I’ve heard the book is even better (duh).
Imperfectly Happy by Sharina Harris: Based on the cover, there is romance and ice cream and that’s all I really need.
Beginner’s Luck by Kate Clayborn: Kate is another master of the genre and I’m ashamed of myself for just now getting to this series.
Goddess in the Machine by Lora Beth Johnson: This was last month’s Owl Crate book and I am here for YA sci-fi.
You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson: This one was on back-order when I originally ordered it so it must be good!
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett: I’ve seen nothing but rave reviews of this one so thanks to book club for giving me an excuse to buy it!
Paradise Cove by Jenny Holiday: Jenny is one of those authors whose books just hit me every time so I know this will be a good one.
A Touch of Stone and Snow by Milla Vane: Y’all know how I feel about fantasy romance.
Loathe at First Sight by Suzanne Park: Suzanne is one of my Pitch Wars mentors and she’s hilarious and I love her so this one is a duh.
Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer: Yeah yeah, I know. Also, not in the picture since my pre-order is late. Boo.
I feel like this month is a good combo of books that will make me think and romance I can escape into, which is really all I need out of life. What are you reading this month?
