In my guise (delusion) to pretend like everything is normal and right with the world, I’m continuing on with my regular posts. Because between the world burning and being on sub, I kinda feel like I’m losing my damn mind. So I need as much normalcy as I can muster. With that, here’s everything I plan to read during my quarantined month of April:
Room for Two by Sydney Landon: I don’t know much about this one, but the cover is cute and it sounded like fun.
Heroine Worship by Sarah Kuhn: I loved the first book in this series, Heroine Complex, so much I went right out (and by that I mean I navigated my ass right to the Ripped Bodice website) and ordered the next two. Super stoked to dive into this one.
Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning: After finishing her Darkfever series, I’m jonesing for some more KMM.
Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh: I DNFed another book from this series because I needed to start at the beginning, so at the beginning I shall start!
Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole: Because Kresley.
The Other Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn: I haven’t read any of this series, but it’s a classic so I’m going for it.
Some Like it Scandalous by Maya Rodale: You know how I feel about Gilded Age New York!
A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer: This one got a lot of YA hype, I’m interested to see how it holds up.
Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian: I really liked the first book in this series so I’m hoping this one is just as good.
Fatal Throne Anthology: I am obsessed with Henry VIII (I came of age in Other Boelyn Girl/The Tudors era) and this anthology contains six stories by different authors, each focusing on one of his wives.
Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu: This was in last month’s Owl Crate and the concept is very intriguing. Plus I love Marie Lu.
Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann: I’ve had this sitting on my TBR shelf for years. Time to get to it.
Two Lives of Lydia Byrd by Josie Silver: I liked her first book, and this cover is too die for.
Marriage Most Scandalous by Johanna Lindsey: Continuing my romance education, and you can’t miss out on Johanna Lindsey.
Deliver Me by Farrah Rochon: This will be my first Farrah book and I love her on Twitter so I’m expecting it to be good.
Honey Don’t List by Christina Lauren: CLo is an auto buy for me!
Perfect Escape by Suzanne Park: This one isn’t pictured because it doesn’t come out until April 7th, but Suzanne was one of my Pitch Wars mentors, so of course, I’ll be reading this one as soon as it arrives on my doorstep!
Happy reading everyone! Stay safe and stay home!
