After taking a few months off from Owl Crate (because money), I was so excited to be able to sign up again and receive my November box. I first subscribed to Owl Crate about three years ago, and honestly, it’s one of the highlights of my month when that box shows up at my front door. If you’ve never heard of Owl Crate, it’s a subscription box built around YA literature. Each month has a different theme, and each box includes a hardcover book with a special cover and author’s note and signature. Also included are other book-themed items. I’ve found some of my favorite YA reads through this box (like Caraval, Three Dark Crowns, and Foolish Hearts, to name a few), and I love seeing what they have in store for me every month. And so, without further ado, let’s take a look at the November box, themed Through the Enchanted Forest!
These super cute planner stickers from Pipsticks were one of the highlights of this month’s box. I don’t do a lot of stickers in my planner, but I will definitely use these ones because they were made specifically for readers, and yeah, that’s me. The wooden ornament from Juniper and Ivy Designs (inspired by The Raven Boys) is gorgeous, though as someone who is not into nature, probably not something I will actually display. But this metal bookmark from Her Paper World will join my massive bookmark collection and for sure be used.
Not going to lie, the main reason I resubscribed this particular month was to get this bad boy, the annual reading planner, this year designed by Blue Star Press. I am obsessed with my current reading planner from last year’s Owl Crate box, and I love this one even more. Each year they make additions and improvements (and the planners get bigger and bigger) and I’m already itching to fill in the pages with new books!
You may have noticed the background for these photos is a gorgeous fuzzy blanket, designed by Bookmark’d Tattoos and inspired by The Cruel Prince. It’s adorable and cozy and I’ve definitely been snuggling up to it every night. The book for this month is Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw, and this cover is absolutely stunning. I’ve been reading so much romance lately, I’m excited to get some YA fantasy in.
Overall, I’m thrilled with this month’s box and I’m super stoked to be back on the Owl Crate train. Next month’s theme is Tales of Trickery, which sounds amazing, and I’m already counting down the days.
