Hello fellow book lovers! I gotta tell you, this month’s Owl Crate came at just the right time. I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely been going a little stir crazy, and finding my special blue box on my doorstep was such a welcome surprise (and by surprise I mean, I knew it was coming but it showed up a day early). The theme for March was Music of the Night, and this was a special box to celebrate Owl Crate’s fifth anniversary. And it was a pretty fantastic box! Here’s what I found inside:
I love this wooden art print designed by Emilee Rudd. The quote is from This Savage Song, which was in a past Owl Crate, and is amazing. I don’t tend to lend out my books (#sorrynotsorry), but if I do, I will make sure they have one of these Hedwig bookplates from Ex Libris, designed by @veresknatasia_art. You know I’m here for anything Harry Potter.
I haven’t actually read Wintersong yet so I don’t know the reference to Goblin Grove on this Flick the Wick candle, but it smells yummy. Phantom of the Opera was the first real Broadway production I saw so it will always have a special place in my heart, so of course I love this print illustrated by Anne Lamelet.
There are three items I will definitely use the most, and I was super excited to see all of these in the box. Say what you will about Twilight, it remains one of the most popular YA series out there, and I will for sure be putting this Bella’s Lullaby Lip Scrub from Fairytale Bath Co to good use. I’ve got a ton of Owl Crate socks at this point, but these ones are adorable and I will happily add them to my bookish socks rotation. And how cool is this mini owl wireless speaker? Can’t wait to listen to some bookish podcasts with it.
I was really pleasantly surprised to see this month’s book, The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu. Marie is one of my favorite YA authors, and I didn’t even know she had a new book coming out. Plus this one sounds fascinating, about Mozart’s forgotten sister. I cannot wait to dive in. I also love this month’s pin from Fable and Black!
