One Sentence Reviews: December 2019

This post is your quick at-a-glance of everything I read last month and my succinct thoughts. Some of these books have longer reviews, which are linked in case you want to check them out, but for some of my reads, this is all you get!

25 Days of Christmas by Poppy Alexander: This one was meh, not enough romance, too much other plot stuff happening.

How the Dukes Stole Christmas: I absolutely loved this anthology and it will become a holiday staple read for me.

Blitzed by Alexa Martin: I laughed my ass off reading this book and you will too.

Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning: I’m enjoying this series but I kinda just want it to wrap up and have a happy ending already.

We Met in December by Rosie Curtis: This was a cute holiday read, but, as usual, I wanted more kissing.

The Rogue of Fifth Avenue by Joanna Shupe: I am IN LOVE with this series and I want all Gilded Age, kickass heroines, all the time from now on.

I Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maureen Goo: While I didn’t love this one as much as some of her others, it was still a sweet, cute YA rom-com.

Lover Eternal by JR Ward: I’m still not sold on this series, but I’m going to keep trucking along for as long as I can.

Prince Charming by Rachel Hawkins: Such a fun read, especially if you are a fan of the royals and their weddings.

Lost Stars by Claudia Gray: I love a good Star Wars tie-in and Claudia writes the best ones as far as I’m concerned.

Bright We Burn by Kiersten White: I was happy to see this series conclude, even though I didn’t love this one as much as the other two.

Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw: I liked this one a lot, but it’s outside of my normal genre read and I didn’t fully love it.

Bucket List by Georgia Clark: Absolutely loved this book so much, for its heart and its wit and its relatability.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo: I’m still working out my feelings on this one, but suffice to say, it was not my favorite book of Leigh’s.

My Fake Rake by Eva Leigh: I was really looking forward to this one, but I think the sweet nature of the characters kind of made it hard for me to get into, I wanted more of a physical connection between them.

Overall a good month for reading, but I really need to step up my review writing game! Hopefully more to come this month!
