Hi friends and happy March! Hard to believe another month has come and gone, but then I say that pretty much every month so here we are. February was you know, just your average life changing month, NBD. The release of Lease on Love dominated the month, obviously, and I still don’t think I’ve fully accepted that I am officially a published author. That’s a thing that happened in my life! So yeah, not much else matters from February, but let’s still take a look back!
Reading: This was a slow month of reading for me. I only finished twelve books, but given everything I had going on, I think that’s not too shabby. I read some fantastic books, as usual, and if you want to see the full break down of all my favorites, you can read this handy dandy blog post right here! I also started a new list on Bookshop (affiliate link) that I’ll update each month with all my favorite reads. So go check it out and buy some books!
Writing: In addition to the release of my debut novel, I also was working on my latest edits for book two in February. In fact, I sent in the latest round on February 28th and it felt amazing. I have really struggled writing book two and I think I finally got to the place where I like this book and these characters, which feels like a major win. Hopefully by the next round I won’t just like it, I’ll love it!
Movies and TV: My TV life has been dominated by reality lately, no surprises there. Everything from the latest seasons of Drag Race and Housewives to season two of Love is Blind. It’s my trash and I love it unconditionally. I also went back to the movies in February. Going to a weekly movie is self care for me and I really hate that I’ve been deprived of the experience for much of the last two years. So I will take any chance I can get to see something on the big screen! This month I saw The 355, which kicked so much ass and made me want to write a series of books about a gang of lady spies. Sebastian Stan is the bad guy in The 355, and as I was telling my husband about the movie, he was like how does it make you feel seeing him as the bad guy to which I made a face and he said, “It made you horny, didn’t it?” He’s not wrong. I also saw Marry Me which was fun, but would have been better with a different male lead, and West Side Story, which would have been better with a different male lead. Hmm.
Life Stuff: Did I mention I released my debut novel in February?!?!?! In case you missed it, it was kind of a big deal! It basically took up my entire month and was a lifelong dream come true and every day I feel more and more lucky!
Overall, February was one of the greatest months of my life and I will remember it forever!
