Well friends, we may be well into 2022 already, but it’s time for my final wrap up post of 2021. Not going to lie, I was definitely tempted to skip this one, but I do actually like to look back at these posts as kind of a journal/digital scrapbook and sometimes it’s fun to see where I was at at different times throughout the year. Right now, I’m at tired. Like really really tired. But I’m gonna keep on trucking because that’s what we do. So let’s check out the happs from December!
Reading: I treated myself to a month of romance novels in December, which means it was a good month of reading. I think I finished fifteen books total, which is not too bad considering all of the holiday stuff we had going on. I’m still very behind on my ARC reading (and still requesting more and more because I have no self control) and my TBR cart is going to be overflowing probably until I die, but hey, I’m supporting my industry! If you want to see my favorite reads from December, they’re all right here!
Writing: I’m sitting here trying to remember what I accomplished writing wise in December and it’s all starting to bleed together. Pretty sure I finished my holiday book in December (it’s definitely done) and I for sure for sure started a possible book three in December (it’s definitely not done). Honestly, between promoting LEASE ON LOVE, editing book 2, drafting potential book 3, and writing holiday book for funsies, I can barely keep my characters straight at this point! Whatever the case may be, some writing stuff happened in December!
Movies and TV: I literally risked a contagious disease to go see Spider-Man: No Way Home and you know what, it was worth it. I loved every second of that movie and it completely broke my heart and I just want to find Tom Holland and give him a big hug. I also saw House of Gucci which was great, but a little slow. I watched a lot of holiday movies (duh) and Single All the Way was by far my fave. And in terms of TV, give me Real Housewives all day every day, please and thank you. Those bitches are keeping me going!
Life Stuff: In my November wrap up I talked about how excited I was that my kiddo finally got the shot and how we were looking forward to actually going places and doing things again and then Omicron was like hahahahaha fuck you get back in your house! And so we did. We saw our families for the holiday, which was lovely since we didn’t get to do that last year, but other than that we’ve mostly been staying home. It’s a lot. And I’m tired. Have I mentioned that already?
So yeah. December was a month of highs and lows, as seems to be the case these days. I hope you all had a restful and peaceful December! On to the next!
